Boise, Idaho – Andersen Schwartzman Woodard Dempsey, PLLC, is pleased to announce that partner Alyson Foster was named president-elect of the Idaho Chapter of the Federal Bar Association (FBA). Foster will serve in this role, beginning in 2020, to advance the Idaho Chapter’s mission to promote the welfare, interests, education, and professional growth of the federal legal profession.
With nearly 200 members, the Idaho Chapter of the FBA was created in 2004 to strengthen the federal legal system and administration of justice by serving the interests and needs of the federal practitioner, the federal judiciary, and the public they serve. “The Idaho Chapter supports these goals by providing members with relevant and high-quality CLE programs, unique networking opportunities, and opportunities to serve the public alongside fellow practitioners and members of the federal judiciary.”
ASWD partner Jennifer Schrack-Dempsey said, “Alyson is a leader at our firm, and we are confident that she will bring that same level of integrity to this new role. We are proud of Alyson’s commitment to Idaho’s legal community.”
Foster has served on the FBA Idaho board for several years and is active in the legal and non-legal community. Her practice focuses on a variety of commercial law issues, including business disputes, shareholder derivative litigation, workplace issues, and nonprofit governance. Foster maintains an active pro bono practice to help under-served members of our community in family law and domestic violence matters.
